Sealite USA Appoints New Business Development Manager for Latin American Markets

Sealite announces the appointment of Luis Velasquez as Business Development Manager for Marine in the Latin America and Caribbean markets.

Mr. Velasquez has been the managing director of an Aids to Navigation (AtoN) consulting firm in Cartagena, Colombia for several global manufacturers. Owing to his previous experience as a LATAM specialist in the AtoN market, Luis brings extensive knowledge of this strategic territory to Sealite. His entrepreneurial spirit, professional background and enthusiasm for the Sealite brand will make Luis a welcome addition to the global manufacturer.

Luis holds advanced technical and business degrees from several universities in Colombia and the United States. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English and has extensive experience presenting navigation solutions to major lighthouse authorities throughout South and Central America. He is a recognized expert in the field of AtoN products and technology in the Latin American market and will help Sealite to ensure aggressive new product launches and business development.

Beginning September 4, 2018, Luis will spend two weeks at the Sealite Americas Training Center in Tilton, New Hampshire, USA, before returning to Cartagena, Columbia where he will assume his new role.
